Name: Rockslide
Clan: ValleyClan
Rank: Warrior
Age: 48 moons
Appearance:
Rockslide has a very fitting image for his lofty personality. His pelt is long and thick, which proves to be quite useful during Leaf-Bare but a bit uncomfortable in Green-Leaf and primarly consists of different shades of grays. One of his most distinguishing features is the dark gray stripes scattered all around his body, making him very easy to point out in the clan. Aside from his audacious facial expressions, what catches the eyes of other cats would have to be his intoxicating green eyes that glimmer like emeralds in the sunlight. His muzzle is finely built and defines his handsome facial structure, and the only throw back would be his scowl that hangs from the corners of his mouth. He's of average height and average build and possesses light, agile paws which gives him the upper-hand in hunting. Has a thick, bushy tail that sways back and forth while he sleeps which draws the attention of unwanted apprentices who tease and taunt him while he sleeps.
Personality:
Just as his name implies, his personality is very rough around the edges and acts in hasteur. As a determined tom, he has always been goal oriented and follows through whatever task he is ordered to apprehend. Although, unless instructed to follow through on a task, he becomes rather indolent and perfers to lay around the warrior den sleeping the day away. As his lazy nature contributes as one of his minor flaws, his loyalty for his clan members makes up for it in the end. If one of his clan mates is under attack or in the middle of a crisis, he wont hesitate to save them, no matter what the issue may be. He may not appear to possess compassion since he comes off as a self-centered individual, but he does express some benevolence towards those he admires or to those he cares about. He feels that charity is a sign of weakness in his fellow warriors eyes and usually keeps it concealed from even his closest companions. Aside from his hidden kindness, he shows hardly any benefience towards cats in other clans which makes him quite the fighter. Rockslide perfers not to initiate in conflict, but when threatened or commanded to, he will engage in battle especially to protect the clan. One other trait he possesses is extreme agitation when among kits or apprentices; he just doesn't feel the need to deal with their chipper, up-beat attitudes. Yet, even though he shoves them aside, he does care for them even if they enjoy irritating him just to get a kick out of his reaction.
History:
Rockslide is the only surviving kit his mother bore, his two siblings died not long after birth by a disease unknown to the clan cats. Being the only kit that survived, his mother paid close attention to him and swore to protect him with all her well-being. Rockslide never knew who his father was and his mother never mentioned him, and as a result, he never bothered to ask. Growing up without a fatherly figure deemed arduous for him, but even without him, he faced it with ease. His mother wasn't much of a warrior and couldn't give him much advice, but when he visited the warrior den, warriors of great stature taught him everything he needed to know. They taught him the basics of fighting, gave him a tour of the clan boundaries, and taught him the rules of the sacred warrior code. This helped expand his knowledge of the world he has been born into and gave him a brief picture of what warrior life was like.
He was very curious as an apprentice, a little too curious for his own good and proved to be rather rebellious in certain circumstances. He enjoyed exploring vast areas beyond territory grounds with his other apprentice friends and were eventually caught in the process of sneaking out at night. It wasn't abnormal that he would get in trouble and as punishment for crossing boundary lines, he wasn't allowed to leave the clan camp until he thought about what he had done and the danger of his actions. As a second punishment, he had to assist the elders, something he despised most of all since all they did was reprimend him on making ridiculous mistakes. One day, later in the afternoon, his curiousity proved to be quite useful. As he trotted past the entrance to the clan camp entrance, he heard a distant yowl from the beyond the camp and, being as reckless as he was, he scurried off through the brush. Leaping over fallen trees, sliding down hills, he finally managed to reach the Adder rocks, where the yowls of despair came from. Scanning the area, he caught a glimpse of a younger apprentice, his hind leg lodged inbetween two rocks, shrieking in fright that an adder may approach him without being noticed. Rockpaw sucked in a deep breath of fresh air and dove into the pile of rocks, climbing his way up the pile.
He fumbled and tumbled over himself numerous amounts of times before finally making it to the apprentice. The young apprentice mewed in delight as Rockpaw cautiously picked at the rocks to free his clan mates leg. After a few moments of struggle, he finally managed to free the little shivering kitten. Although, after shifting one rock, another shifted after another and a rockslide began to form. The cats sprinted down the pile of stones as fast as they possibly could and, luckily, they both made it to safety before being crushed by the rockslide. A warrior nearby had witnessed the entirety of his rescue and was very impressed. The warrior thanked him graciously and lead the two cats home. Once returned from the incident, he told the leader what happened, and Chilledstar consulted Starclan thus giving Rockpaw his warrior name; Rockslide. Being 26 moons at the time of becoming a warrior, he felt a pang of pride inside himself and knew this was the start of a new beginning.
